I need to finish the outside corner above the shower alcove.

Corner bead is most often associated with drywall. It s available in sheets of many sizes with 3 foot by 5 foot sheets being the most common. Keep the cement backer boards about 1 4 inch apart. Cover and mortar the seams with fiberglass seam tape.

At some point along the wall the cement backer board will meet with the drywall used in the rest of the room. Where these two meet what is the proper way to finish it so it s a nice corner. I will just end up painting it.
